Using Android Touch Screen Tablets and Mobile Phones

Android is an open source operating system by Google which is popular on mobile phones, touch screen tablet PCs and netbooks.
Altough the tech savy may find it very intuative to use, the non technical users may appreceiate a little help in setting up (e.g. WI-FI) and using the it and common apps like email.

What is Android
Android is a Linux based operating system from Google which has been designed for mobile applications and was initially used in mobile phones and now mobile PCs.

Android Mobile Phones
Second only in polarity to Apple iphone Android phones are produced by most of the main mobile phone manufacturers and are available for most, if not all, mobile networks.
The main difference between android on the phone and on the tablet is that the phone allows phone calls whereas the tablet doesn’t, unless you install skype or Google voice.
Tablets and Netbooks
Although many manufacturers call them netbooks the term tablet is better as it describes a machine without a keyboard.
They come in various sizes but the commonly sold machine are 7 inches or 10 inches.
Weighing usually under 1000 grams and with WIFI capablity they are ideal for use when out and about.
